Bristol Zoo Gardens!
Did you know? Bristol Zoo Gardens is the oldest provincial zoo in the world.
Did you know? Bristol Zoo Gardens was the birthplace of the first squirrel monkey to ever be born into captivity.
Did you know? Bristol Zoo Gardens is one of only two zoos that breeds the Livingstone’s fruit bat—one of the world’s largest and rarest bat species—in captivity.
Anyway, we’re taking a Severn Bronies Special trip up to Bristol Zoo Gardens! The weather forecast is supposed to be quite nice, so let’s make the most of it.
Meet plan
We’ll be meeting at our usual Temple Quay Starbucks spot at 11am. We’ll be waiting there for a while—call it until 11:30-ish—before heading up via bus to the zoo. The bus we need is the number 8, which costs a flat £2 rate in each direction (so getting two singles is cheaper than a day ticket!)
Those who wish to drive or travel directly to the zoo may, of course, do so.
Be very aware that entry to the zoo costs hecka money. Buying in advance online is a good idea, as tickets are cheaper on the website.
From there, we’ll just be spending the rest of the day bumbling around the zoo!
