Most unfortunately our regular Hydra haunt is unavailable this weekend, so rather than shift everything around on short notice, we’re just taking the bull by the horns and running with it.

Iron Will is not best pleased.

Meet Plan

11:00am–11:30am Starbucks

Coffee up, folks, we’ve got a long day ahead of us.

11:30am–1:00pm The Knight’s Templar

Grab some breakfast, grab some brunch, grab some lunch. Get all three combined in a bucket for easier consumption.

1:00pm–4:00pm The Bristol Bronies Experiment

A pessimist might call this “aimless bumbling,” but we here at the Bristol Bronies are optimists (or, I hope we’re optimists), and that’s why we’re calling it “an experiment in direct democracy” where it’s up to YOU people where we go and what we do! Will there be guns? Will there be toys? It’s up to you!

4:00pm–6:00pm Forbidden Planet

They love us really. No other group can clear shelves so quickly.

6:00pm–late Subway

We’re winding down slowly. After spending much of the day walking and conquering the endless slopes of Mount Brizzle, it’s time to put our feet up, have a little casual conversation and some pleasant banter. Please don’t annoy the staff.

By train

The nearest railway station is Bristol Temple Meads (approx. 440 feet away).

Upon arriving at Temple Meads, continue straight ahead after exiting the ticket barrier and leave via the side entrance into the Temple Meads car park. The Starbucks is located in a row of shops on the other side of the car park.

By bus

Most local buses will stop in proximity to Bristol Temple Meads. Use the First Bus website to find the best route for you.

Bristol Bus and Coach Station is 0.9 miles away. If opting not to walk, go to the bus stop on Nelson Street (B3), and from there catch the number 8 bus to Bristol Temple Meads (5 stops).

By car

The nearest parking is at Bristol Temple Meads, which has both indoor and outdoor parking spaces available at different day rates, and free parking for motorcycles.

Also nearby are the council-operated Temple Gate car park (0.3 miles away) and the Bristol First Hotel car park (0.2 miles away), the latter of which has a four hour maximum stay.

Bristol Temple Meads railway station has free short stay parking for up to 20 minutes—which may be useful for quick drop offs or pick ups—located at the front of the station.

By bike

A large amount of on-street cycle parking is located directly outside of the Starbucks. Sheltered (but not enclosed) bicycle parking is present nearby towards Temple Meads.

Wheelchairs

We typically meet in the upstairs area of this Starbucks, which is not wheelchair accessible. If you use a wheelchair and plan to attend, please give us a heads up and we’ll aim to congregate downstairs instead.

The entrance doors to this Starbucks are a split design and may be difficult to operate from a wheelchair. There is a call button on the outside of the door for those requiring assistance.

Toilets

A wheelchair accessible toilet is available on the ground floor.
