Come hang out and pony and play games and drink beer and eat pizza and whatever we normally do for funsies!! If the weather stays good we might even go outside!

Birkett Tap again this time, as although the Boardroom is back open I need to talk to the new owners during this meet to see where we stand going forward!

TIMETABLE

11am premeet at Starbuck

Midday – walk over to Birkett Tap and lay claim to our table – booked/bookable until 4pm, but we can stay later so long as we hold the table

During the day – happy to go wandering round town, hit the park if the weather is nice, hit the nerd shops or any shop, venue or place anyone feels like going as long as everyone’s happy!!

By train

The nearest railway station is Bristol Temple Meads (approx. 440 feet away).

Upon arriving at Temple Meads, continue straight ahead after exiting the ticket barrier and leave via the side entrance into the Temple Meads car park. The Starbucks is located in a row of shops on the other side of the car park.

By bus

Most local buses will stop in proximity to Bristol Temple Meads. Use the First Bus website to find the best route for you.

Bristol Bus and Coach Station is 0.9 miles away. If opting not to walk, go to the bus stop on Nelson Street (B3), and from there catch the number 8 bus to Bristol Temple Meads (5 stops).

By car

The nearest parking is at Bristol Temple Meads, which has both indoor and outdoor parking spaces available at different day rates, and free parking for motorcycles.

Also nearby are the council-operated Temple Gate car park (0.3 miles away) and the Bristol First Hotel car park (0.2 miles away), the latter of which has a four hour maximum stay.

Bristol Temple Meads railway station has free short stay parking for up to 20 minutes—which may be useful for quick drop offs or pick ups—located at the front of the station.

By bike

A large amount of on-street cycle parking is located directly outside of the Starbucks. Sheltered (but not enclosed) bicycle parking is present nearby towards Temple Meads.

Wheelchairs

We typically meet in the upstairs area of this Starbucks, which is not wheelchair accessible. If you use a wheelchair and plan to attend, please give us a heads up and we’ll aim to congregate downstairs instead.

The entrance doors to this Starbucks are a split design and may be difficult to operate from a wheelchair. There is a call button on the outside of the door for those requiring assistance.

By train

The nearest railway station is Bristol Temple Meads (approx. 0.9 miles away).

The Birkett Tap is centrally located, with virtually any bus travelling to ‘The Centre’ stopping in proximity to it. Use the First Bus website to find the best route for you.

By car

The nearest car parks are NCP Queen Charlotte Street (0.1 miles away) and NCP Prince Street (0.2 miles away).

Free motorcycle parking is available on the corner of Baldwin Street and Queen Charlotte Street (approx. 480 feet away).

Be aware that Baldwin Street, where The Birkett Tap is located, is bus gated on both eastern and western ends. Private vehicles travelling through these areas will receive fines.

Baldwin Street itself can only be accessed through Marsh Street and Queen Charlotte Street to the south and St. Stephen’s Street to the north.

By bike

A segregated cycle path runs for the entire length of Baldwin Street. Shared cycle paths are also on some of the surrounding streets.

On-street bicycle parking is available in several locations nearby, including:

across the road, next to Domino’s Pizza (approx. 90 feet away)

outside of the Royal Bank of Scotland (approx. 270 feet away)

on the corner of Baldwin Street and Colston Avenue (approx. 330 feet away)
