@ the Movies: The Lego Movie 2
Almost on this day, five years ago, we went to the cinema and watched the first Lego Movie. It was pretty good. It has 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, so apparently lots of people thought it was pretty good.
Anywho, we’re gonna go see The Second One.
A cunning plan
whenever–11:00am: Starbucks
The usual meeting location. Turn up when you can; before 11am, after 11am, it’s all good.
midday–2:00pm: Luncheon and pottering about
We have like two hours to waste before the movie film so go gang up and get yourselves fed, trawl the shops, overthrow the government, buy snacks, etc. If you’ve not booked ahead of time, you may want to drop by the cinema first and get your tickets!
2:00pm: The Lego Movie 2
We are aiming for the 2pm, 2-dimensional showing of The Lego Movie 2 at our usual cinematic haunt, the Showcase Cinema De Lux. You can book tickets ahead of time on their webbysite. This is the premiere weekend, so expect spaces to fill up rapidly as we get closer to the time.
If you, for whatever reason, want to come to the meet but not watch the movie, you’re free to use this time to continue the prior scheduled pottering about.
After the movie: We’ll just make it up I guess
The movie will probably be ending some time between 4 and 4:30pm. Maybe you’ll want to go to The Entertainer and buy some merch of your new Lego waifu? Maybe we’ll get dinner and turn this into a date? I don’t know. I’m not gonna judge.
